History

Blue Moon Quarter Horse & Quarter Pony Stud (t/a Blue Moon Equine) has been breeding and showing quality performance horses for over two decades.

We emphasis on soundness, athleticism and temperament. Proven performance is a must-have in our pedigrees. QH heritage breeding is our passion.

We are located in Watsons Creek, New South Wales.

Haysi's pedigree is filled with proven champions, and he has been started under saddle in June 2023. He has the best temperament; natural ability & athleticism and he is very sure footed.

2025 Stud Fee $880 for horse mares, $660 for pony mares. LFG & roan colour guarantee - with base a colour of either black/brown, brown, bay and other forms of bay (silver bay, bay dun, buckskin). Live cover only.

Buffy holds multiple National and State Titles in NRHA & AQHA Reining as well as Show Hunter and Sporting. She accumulated over 470 AQHA points in a wide variety of events and received 9 awards in Performance, Halter, Reining, Ranch Riding, Western Pleasure, Trail, as well as the prestigious Quarter Horse Champion award. She was the 2018 Western Congress Open Ranch Trail Champion. Buffy is currently working as a clinic demo horse and a school horses for little kids at Blue Moon Equine/Blue Moon Performance Horse Training.

Flamez is the grandam of One Haysi Moon. She is our current school horse at Blue Moon Equine/Blue Moon Performance Horse Training.

ELANORA CANDY GIRL, 1994 flaxen chestnut

Candy is a champion ANSA Youth horse; Champion working cowhorse & multiple chamion in western performance events.

Candy is the dam and granddam of NRHA money earners & western performance champions. She is the great-granddam of our resident stud, One Haysi Moon. Candy is now retired.

PIALLA STARDUST RETURN, 2000 palomino

Sire: Rocket Return (1980 NCHA Open Futurity Champion) by Hollywood Return Imp. x Penny Plummer Imp.

Dam: Freckles Zodiac (NCHA money earner) by Freckles Gunbar Imp. x Docs Zodiac by Doc's Spinifex Imp. x War Bird Nina Imp.

Dusty was a successful cutter & cowhorse before being retired due to injury. Her progeny includes an NRHA money earner & a campdraft winner.

Dusty is another retiree.

Cindi is green broken and was purchased to join our Quarter Pony Breeding Program. She has been bred to One Haysi Moon for a 2025 foal.

Toni has successfully competed in X-Country, Showjumping, Dressage, Hacking, Sporting & PC events. She is running with One Haysi Moon for a 2026 foal.

BLUE MOON MIRO SPIN, 2021 silver bay Appaloosa Quarter Pony

Honey was purchased to join our broodmare band and has been running with One Haysi Moon for a 2026 foal.

BLUE MOON INGA, gray Australian Pony

Inga is due to foal in 2025, either to a large pony stallion or our stud. She will be for sale with foal at foot. She is unhandled, so age is an estimated 6 years. Contact us, if interested.

Libby's racing career was cut short due to a paddock accident during a storm, resulting in severe leg injuries. With her 16 hands height, we'll add size and even more speed to our breeding program. She has been preg tested in foal to Haysi Moon for a registered 1st cross QH foal, due September 2025.
